The migration of geese captures my imagination as much as the single, powerful bird. The fact that these beautiful creatures not only mate for life but traverse continents in synergistic groups fascinates me. The V-pattern and trading off lead birds and disrupting airflow for flying ease in order to cover the distance are awesome aspects of this flying ‘machine’
